Jae’Wuan Horton, a senior from Stafford, Virginia, recorded six tackles (five solo, one assisted) in his final game with the UNH football team Nov. 17 at the University of Rhode Island.
Two tackles for loss, including a seven-yard sack, were included among those six tackles vs. URI. Jae’Wuan was also credited with a force fumble and pass breakup against the Rams. His efforts helped limit URI to 14 first downs, 116 passing yards and 243 yards of total offense.
Jae’Wuan was named to the 2018 CAA Football Second Team Defense on Tuesday. He led the Wildcats’ defensive linemen in tackles with 38; he made 25 solo stops and had 13 assisted tackles. Jae’Wuan ranked third on the team in both tackles for loss (8.0) and sacks (3.5). Horton also forced two fumbles.
