- Played at Rice University during the 2014-15 season, totaling 12 games played, 64 total minutes, 13 rebounds and two steals.
- In 2013-14 at Lovejoy High School, he was a varsity team captain, earned Academic All-District honors, awarded District Defensive Player of the Year, collected First Team All-District and Team Defensive MVP and MVP. He was the fourth leading scorer in school history averaging 12 points per game with four assists, three rebounds and two steals a game. Reed was awarded the Hays All-Tournament Team honor and was selected to participate in the NTBCA All-Star game and the Faith 7 All-Star game.
- In 2012-13 he was named Academic All-District, First Team All-District and Team Defensive MVP.
