AS A JUNIOR IN2007: One of seven Wildcats to start all 21games; was credited with one defensive save; critical member ofboth penalty corner units; recorded three goals and one assist forseven points; scored her first collegiate goal with a tally atHarvard (9/5); also scored single goals against both Pacific (9/15)and Davidson (10/16); scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 winvs. Pacific and assisted on the game-winning goal in the next gamevs. Fairfield.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN2006: Started all 17 games in which sheplayed, including all five America East conference games; recordedone point with an assist; tallied that assist vs. Sacred HeartUniversity.
AS A FRESHMAN IN2005: America East All-Rookie Team; played inall 19 games and was in the starting lineup 16 times; started allfive America East games; recorded two points, both on assists;recorded her first collegiate point with an assist at ProvidenceCollege; also had an assist in the season finale vs. UMBC.
HIGHSCHOOL: Kara is a ‘05 graduate ofWaltham High School, where she lettered in field hockey, indoor andoutdoor track and basketball; participated at the National FuturesTournament in 2003, 2004 and 2005; Boston Herald All-ScholasticAll-Star in 2004; GBL All-Star from 2002-04; News Tribune All-Starfrom 2002-04; recorded 36 goals and 16 assists in her career,including 10g and 7a as a senior; also played for the Cape AnnCoalition club team.
PERSONAL: Born3/6/87 in Newton, Mass.; daughter of John and Sandra Napolitano;major is psychology; her sister Jayna lettered in field hockey atMerrimack College and UMass; her sister Lea lettered in fieldhockey at Tufts.
