Moore & White Earn Bids to NCAA East First Round

The ‘Cats will compete on May 29 in Jacksonville, Fla.
INDIANAPOLIS – Freshman Sarah Moore (Lisbon, Maine) and freshman Ruth White (Orono, Maine) of the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team will compete in the 2025 NCAA East First Round at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville on Thursday, May 29 at Hodges Stadium.

For each individual event contested at the East First Round, the top 48 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.
Moore qualified in the long jump which starts at 1 p.m., while White will compete in the 10,000 meter run at 9:10 p.m. Moore is the No. 18 seed and White is the No. 10 seed. The top 12 competitors from each individual event advance to the Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
Moore qualified for the first round in the long jump at 20' 8" at UMass Lowell. She also set the school record at UMass Lowell with a jump of 20' 7.75". Moore won the gold medal in the long jump at the America East Championships and at the New England Championships. She also placed first at the Jim Boulanger Invitational.
White earned the bid in the 10,000 meter run with her school record and meet record time of 32:57.83 as she won gold at the America East Championships. She was named the Most Outstanding Rookie at the America East Championships. She previously set the school record with a time of 33:27.57 at the Black & Gold Invitational. White won gold in the 5,000 meter run at the New England Championships with a school record time of 16:22.78.
