Challman, Reade Selected to NCAA Alabama Regional Championship (April 4, 2 p.m. ET)

Wildcat duo head to Tuscaloosa to compete as floor exercise specialists
INDIANAPOLIS – Sophomore Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) and freshman Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.) of the UNH gymnastics team were each selected to compete as floor exercise specialists in the NCAA Alabama Gymnastics Regional Championship on Friday, April 4 (2 p.m. ET), at the Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Challman and Reade tied for No. 88 nationally with a 9.875 National Qualifying Score (NQS) on floor. They are among 13 individual event specialists and three all-around competitors invited to the Alabama Regional from non-qualifying teams. Teams competing for two spots in the NCAA National Championships (April 17-19) are No. 3 Florida, No. 6 Cal, No. 11 Alabama, No. 14 Oregon State, Iowa, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson and Rutgers.
The Wildcat duo will compete during Session I (2 p.m. ET) of the second round. Reade will rotate with North Carolina in the third rotation, and Challman will follow Alabama in the fourth rotation.
During the regular season, Challman recorded EAGL's No. 6 ranking on floor (9.855 NQS) for All-EAGL First Team honors before scoring a 9.925 at Saturday's EAGL Championship to place second to secure a berth on the All-Tournament First Team. The sophomore won the EAGL Specialist of the Week award four times (Jan. 8, Jan. 15, Feb. 12, March 17) and topped the floor podium three times (Jan. 19, Feb. 19, March 19). Her career-high 9.950 on Feb. 9 matched the fourth-highest floor score in program history.
Reade, an eight-time EAGL Rookie of the Week, tied her personal best with a 9.900 on floor to share third place and All-Tournament First Team honors at Saturday's EAGL Championship. The Merrimac, Mass, native ranked No. 3 on floor in EAGL's regular season with a 9.865 NQS. She scored a 9.800 or higher on floor in 12 of UNH's 13 meets and topped the floor podium four times (Jan. 26, Jan. 31, Feb. 2, March 16).

The top 36 teams based on NQS were selected for regional competition. The committee named the top 16 teams and seeded them in the bracket. Seeding determined at the time of selections will be maintained through the championship. Teams 17-36 were placed geographically at one of the four regional sites. Nine teams will compete at each of the four regional sites.
The 2025 NCAA women's gymnastics championship will take place from April 17-19 in Fort Worth, Texas, at Dickies Arena.
