#13 Nebraska Pulls Away in Second Half of 86-55 Win

LINCOLN, Neb. – Junior guard Jack Graham (Smithfield, R.I.) scored a team-high 17 points but the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was upended 86-55 by 13th-ranked University of Nebraska on Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Nebraska led 41-38 at halftime and outscored the Wildcats 45-17 in the second half to pull away for the victory.
Redshirt freshman guard R.J. Kennedy (Fayetteville, Ga.) scored 11 points while junior guard Comeh Emuobor (Raleigh, N.C.) finished with eight points and five rebounds.
Pryce Sandfort (19 points), Braden Frager (15), Berke Buyuktuncel (14) and Rienk Mast (10) led a balance Cornhuskers' offense.
UNH is 4-9 at the completion of its non-conference schedule. Nebraska remains unbeaten at 13-0.

FIRST HALF
- There were six lead changes and two tie scores as neither team led by more than seven points in the opening 20 minutes.
- Nebraska scored the first seven points of the game before Graham's layup at 17:07.
- A 3-pointer by Tyler Bike (Merrimack N.H) and layup by Emuobor lifted the Wildcats within 12-11 at 13:08.
- Kennedy hit consecutive 3-pointers to give UNH its first lead of the game, 17-14, at 10:50.
- The Wildcats' next two baskets were also 3-pointers – this time by Graham – to give UNH a 23-18 lead at 9:59.
- Nebraska regained the lead, 26-25, but Emuobor split a pair of defenders on a drive down the lane to put the 'Cats back on top, 27-26, at 7:07.
- Davide Poser (Veneto, Italy) connected from behind the 3-point line to advance the score to 30-28 in favor of UNH at 6:36.
- Nebraska went on a 6-0 run to take a 34-30 lead at 4:21.
- A pair of Graham jumpers sandwiched a Cornhuskers' 3-pointer to push the score to 37-35 in favor of the home team.
- Graham's steal led to a 3-ball by Kennedy to trim the deficit to 39-38 at 1:21.
- Nebraska made a pair of free throws with three seconds on the clock to take a 41-38 lead into the locker room.
SECOND HALF
- UNH missed its first nine field goal attempts of the second half as the Cornhuskers opened up a 64-43 lead at 10:41.
- Graham's driving layup at 9:59 ended Nebraska's 8-0 run and advanced the score to 64-45.
- The home team continued to pull away the rest of the way.
UNH NOTEBOOK
