Cronin and Turner each score for the Wildcats

BOSTON – Senior forward Robert Cronin (Plymouth, Mass.) and sophomore forward J.P. Turner (East Falmouth, Mass.) each scored for the Wildcats, but the No. 16 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to No. 10 Boston University, 7-2, on Friday night at Agganis Arena in a nationally-ranked Hockey East matchup.

Quinn Hutson led the Terriers with three goals and one assist for four points on the night.

The Wildcats fall to 11-10-3 (3-9-2 Hockey East), while the Terriers improve to 14-9-1 (10-5-1 Hockey East).

How It Happened

The Terriers took an early 1-0 lead at 1:17 of the first period when Hutson sent the puck to the upper glove side corner of the net from the slot.
Then at 4:08 and with the Wildcats on the power play, Cronin tied the game at 1-1 when he fired a shot from the slot to the stick side of the net off a pass from behind the goal by senior forward Liam Devlin (Needham, Mass.). Junior forward Cy LeClerc (Brentwood, N.H.) also posted an assist.

The Terriers moved out to a 2-1 advantage with a goal by Jack Harvey at 6:22 as he knocked in the puck from just outside the crease.
BU increased the lead when a shot by Shane Lachance from the left faceoff circle went stick side to make the score 3-1 just 28 seconds after the opening faceoff of the second period.
After Hutson scored his second goal of the game for the Terriers, Turner received a pass from sophomore forward Jason Siedem (Madison, N.J.) and blasted a shot stick side to cut the deficit to 4-2 at 2:58 of the third period.

But a power play goal by Cole Eiserman, an empty net goal by Hutson and an even strength goal by Brandon Svoboda gave the Terriers the 7-2 win.
