Silver Named To Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America First Team

Senior captain is a two-time Stats Perform FCS All-America Team honoree
CHICAGO – UNH senior defensive end Josiah Silver (Hampton, Va.) was named to the 2024 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America First Team, it was announced Monday.
Silver, who was named to the CAA Preseason All-Conference Team on July 24, will serve as a team captain for the 2024 Wildcats, who begin fall camp on Friday. In 2023, he was tapped to the All-CAA Second Team after notching 43 tackles, including 23 solo stops, while starting all 11 games. The Hampton, Va., native paced the team in tackles for loss (9.5), sacks (five) and quarterback hurries (eight).
Silver was previously recognized as a Stats Perform FCS All-America Third Team selection in 2021 and 2022.
UNH's home opener is against Stonehill on Youth Sports Day, Saturday, Sept. 14, with a 6 p.m. kickoff (FloFootball) at Wildcat Stadium.
