Pissis Drops Wildcat Career High 21 Points, McComb III tallies 11 (Fourth Double-Digit Point Game In A-Row)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to Brown, 76-58 on Friday night from the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Junior guard Sami Pissis (Paris, France) scored 21 points for the Wildcats and collected three rebounds. Junior guard Anthony McComb III (Dayton, Ohio) added 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists for the 'Cats. Senior forward Trey Woodyard (London, Ohio) and freshman center Caleb Middleton (Dover, N.H.) tallied seven points on the night.

The Wildcats fall to 1-4 (0-0 AE).

FIRST HALF

Brown got off to a hot start with a 15-1 run in the first 9:14 of play.
A layup from graduate student forward/center Emmanuel Okpomo (Delta State, Nigeria), sophomore forward Dylan Saunders (Roanoke, Va.) three pointer, and a McComb III bucket brought the 'Cats back within seven (17-10).
The Bears ran away with the score going up as much as 15. A Woodyard three and a fade away basket from Pissis put UNH down nine at half (38-29).

Second Half

Brown had the only score in the first 3:38 of the second half. Pissis drained a three pointer at the 16 minute mark but the Bears remained persistent and went back up 13.
Another Saunders three pointer among three total points from Pissis put UNH back down seven (47-40).
Freshman guard Antoni Siewruk (Koszalin, Poland) hit a late game three but the Wildcats fell short with a final score of 76-58.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

Pissis recorded his Wildcat career high of 21 points.
McComb III recorded his fourth double-digit point night in a row (11 points).

The Wildcats return to action on Nov. 16, and 17th for the College Hill Classic hosted by Brown. UNH will play Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and Holy Cross at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
