PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to Sacred Heart, 80-63 on Saturday evening from the Pizzitola Sports Center in the second game of the College Hill Classic.
Junior guard Anthony McComb III (Dayton, Ohio) scored 22 points for the Wildcats and shot 8-12 from the field (4-6 from three). Junior guard Sami Pissis (Paris, France) added 13 points, five assists, and six rebounds for the 'Cats. Junior guard Rex Sunderland (Kaysville, Utah) tallied seven points on the night (2-2 from three).
The Wildcats fall to 1-5 (0-0 AE).

- UNH went down 18-10 early. Points from freshman forward Jon O'Neill (Kaukauna, Wis.), McComb III, and Sunderland brought them back within four points (20-16).
- Junior guard Jawarie Hamelin (Westerly, R.I.) drove through the lane to score his first points as a Wildcat. Still, the Pioneers maintained a multi-possession lead for the majority of the half.
- Hamelin found McComb III under the net for a hard layup to put the 'Cats back down four at the end of the first half (37-33).

- The Wildcats came out firing in the second half as Pissis and sophomore forward Dylan Saunders (Roanoke, Va.) each knocked down a three-pointer. This gave UNH a 39-37 lead.
- The 'Cats hung tough for the next five minutes with points from graduate student forward/center Emmanuel Okpomo (Delta State, Nigeria) and Pissis.
- The Pioneers surged ahead and UNH was unable to come back. The scoreboard read 80-63 at triple zeros.

- 11 different Wildcats found the bottom of the net.
- McComb III recorded his fifth game in a row with double-digit points (22)
- Despite the loss, UNH shot 40.74% from beyond the arch while the Pioneers shot 34.62%

- The Wildcats return to action on Sunday, Nov. 17th for the final game of the College Hill Classic vs. Holy Cross at 3:30 p.m. (Hosted by Brown)
