Wildcats Earn 2-1 Win Versus UMBC on Senior Night

Ibrahim Conde and Terry Makedika each scored for the Wildcats.
DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Ibrahim Conde (Montreal, Quebec) and junior midfielder Terry Makedika (Paris, France) each scored for the Wildcats, while senior goalkeeper Erik Lauta (Aptos, Calif.) tallied eight saves as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated UMBC, 2-1, on Saturday evening at Wildcat Stadium in America East action on Senior Night.
The Wildcats improve to 5-3-5 (2-1-1 AE), while the Retrievers fall to 4-6-4 (1-2-1- AE).
Before the game the Wildcats honored their senior class of Conde, Luke Fagerson (Medway, Mass.), Aaron Williams Fernandez (London, England), Baptiste Gateau (Rennes, France), Matthew Goncalves (Everett, Mass.), Adison Hicks (Derry, N.H.), Lauta, Jiwoo Lee (Seoul, Korea), Dylan Maxon (Clifton Park, N.Y.), Federico Tellez (Miami, Fla.), Michael Tsicoulias (Newton, Mass.) and Harry Way (London, England) for their hard work and dedication to the program on and off the field.

· UNH took a 2-0 advantage in the 55th minute (54:22) when Makedika fired a one-timer from 15 yards out to the left side of the net for his second goal of the year. Goncalves posted an assist on the goal.

· With just 39 seconds remaining, Ismailcan Usta made it a 2-1 game on a penalty kick to the right side of the goal.
· But the Retrievers were unable to score the equalizer for the 2-1 final.
