Laube Receives Five Weekly Awards Following Record-Breaking Performance

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior running back and captain Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.) of the 11th-ranked University of New Hampshire football team received a total of five awards Monday following his record-breaking performance Sept. 9 at FBS school Central Michigan University.

Laube broke the program record for single-game receiving yards with 295 on a career-high 12 receptions in UNH's 45-42 loss at Central Michigan; the 295 receiving yards ranks fourth in CAA Football history. He finished with 371 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, including 71-yard and 80-yard TD receptions.
Both his 295 receiving yards and 371 all-purpose yards are best in the FCS this season. Laube's other stats included seven rushes for 30 yards, one kickoff return for 28 yards and a punt return for 18 yards.
New Hampshire plays its home opener Sept. 16 (6 p.m.) against intrastate rival Dartmouth College for the Granite Bowl, sponsored by ALKU. It is also Youth Sports Day and Band Day. In the second quarter, Laube compiled 148 all-purpose yards, including four catches for 127 yards with an 80-yard TD reception on a screen pass that lifted UNH into a 14-14 tie.
He entered halftime with 191 all-purpose yards and added 70 yards to that total in the third quarter.
Laube amassed 110 more all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. His 2-yard TD run pulled the Wildcats within 42-35 at 5:58 and then he raced 71 yards down the left sideline on a 71-yard touchdown catch that tied the score, 42-42, at 3:14.
Laube broke the UNH single-game receiving yards record of 284 established by All-American wide receiver David Ball on Oct. 2, 2004.
Of Laube's 295 receiving yards, 262 (89 percent) came after the catch.
