'Cats Tally 11 Student-Athletes on America East Academic Honor Roll

BOSTON – Eleven members of the 2022 University of New Hampshire men's cross country team were named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

A total of six Wildcats made the Commissioner's Honor Roll, while five were named to the Honor Roll.

Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes with a fall semester GPA of 3.50 or higher, while Honor Roll accolades are bestowed to student-athletes who recorded a fall semester GPA between 3.0-3.49.

Samuel Hilts (Concord, N.H.), Zachary Hooper (Concord, N.H.) and Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.) each posted a perfect 4.0 in the fall semester and were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

William Curran (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine) and John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) also earned Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades.

Being recognized on the Honor Roll were Dillon Adamy (Lebanon, N.J.), Brayden Kearns (Deerfield, N.H.), Joshua Lesniak (Durham, Conn.), Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) and Zack Plaza (Auburn, N.H.).

Seventy-seven percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports this year secured Honor Roll recognition for earning at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2022 fall semester or 2023 spring semesters. Of that group, 52 percent of student-athletes and 1,797 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better. Overall, 2,694 America East student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll in 2022-23.
