BOSTON – Fourteen student-athletes on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team were named to the 2021-22 America East Academic Honor Roll. Eleven players earned Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition and three made the Honor Roll.
Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who recorded a Fall 2021 semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher; 50 percent of the team received this accolade. Student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 are named to the Honor Roll. Overall, 64 percent of the squad received one of the academic honors.
Two Wildcats recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in Fall '21; those highly distinguished Wildcats are Tori Palumbo (Ayer, Mass.) and Olivia Watson (Easton, Pa.).
They were joined on the Commissioner's Honor Roll by Reagan Calcari (St. Louis, Mo.), Finn Caron (Hampton, N.H.), Isabelle Danahy (Chelmsford, Mass.), Gigi Fay (Lancaster, Mass.), Christina Hathaway (Norfolk, Mass.), Lindsay Lee (Eindhoven, Netherlands), Molly McAteer (Annapolis, Md.), Bloem van den Brekel (Eindhoven, Netherlands) and Jemma Woods (Frimley, England).
Tia Raspante (Sandwich, Mass.), Mari Shea (Hampstead, N.J.) and Jaiden Wittel (Stroudsburg, Pa.) were named to the Honor Roll.
Seventy-five percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports this year earned Honor Roll recognition for earning at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2021 fall or 2022 spring semesters. Of that group, 48 percent of student-athletes and 1,630 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better. Overall, 2,523 America East student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll in 2021-22. The marks the 17th consecutive year America East student-athletes have averaged at least a 3.0 GPA.
America East is proud to have one of most comprehensive academic awards programs in the country, which honors over two-thirds of its student-athletes for their success in the classroom, including its sports Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic honorees, Presidential Scholar-Athletes and its Honor Roll Elite 18 recipients.
