Three Wildcats Named to the Academic All-District Team

Three Wildcats of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team were named to the Academic All-District Team Tuesday afternoon. Junior midfielder Emily Bini (Guilderland, N.Y.), sophomore forward Meghan Guarente (Sewell, N.J.) and junior back Alivia Kelly (Pembroke, Mass.) all received the accolade.
Earlier this month, these three student-athletes were also recognized by the America East Conference by being named to the America East All-Academic team. To receive this accolade, athletes must hold a 3.2 GPA or higher.
Bini, a marketing major, holds a 3.98 overall GPA. During the regular season, Bini started all 15 games and recorded five assists and one goal. She was named to the America East Second Team All-Conference for her efforts. In the post season, Bini scored a goal in the AE Championship game helping the Wildcats to their second conference title in program history.
Guarente is a nursing major with an overall GPA of 3.98. She notched five goals and five assists, starting each of the 15 games in the regular season. Guarente buried two more goals in the postseason, both of which were against Binghamton in the America East Championship game. She also tallied two assists in the postseason for the 'Cats. Guarente was named to the America East Second Team All-Conference earlier this month.
As a neuroscience & behavior major, Kelly has an overall GPA of 3.78. She played in and started all 15 regular season games for UNH, leading the team in minutes with 1,320. For her outstanding regular season, she was named to the America East First Team All-Conference. Kelly played every minute during the post season, including extra time in the conference championship game versus Binghamton.
The Wildcats had an outstanding season, capturing the second America East title in program history (2014, 2022). They also made the program's second NCAA Tournament appearance.
