Dudley Named America East Offensive Player of the Week

BOSTON – Junior back Ella Dudley (St. Augustine, Fla.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Dudley scored two goals this past week; one in the team's 6-1 victory over Bryant on Thursday as well as in the team's 1-0 win over Vermont on Sunday.
Her goal on Sunday in the 55th minute ultimately became the game-winning goal in the match. With the efforts from Dudley, the team clinched a spot in the America East tournament. This playoff berth marks the team's ninth consecutive America East tournament appearance.
In the victory over Bryant, Dudley's goal came in the 43rd minute, giving the Wildcats a 4-1 lead.
This is Dudley's first career America East weekly award.
UNH returns to action when they hit the road to UMBC on Sunday, Oct. 23 for a 12 p.m. matchup against the Retrievers.
