#9 Wildcats Score Four Straight Second-Half Goals to Defeat Hartford, 4-1

UNH improves to 9-0-0 on the season.
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – After trailing 1-0 in the first half, the Wildcats scored four second-half goals as the No. 9 nationally-ranked University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated Hartford, 4-1, on Saturday evening in America East action at Al-Marzook Field.
The Wildcats improve to 9-0-0 (2-0-0 AE), while the Hawks fall to 1-6-2 (0-2-0 AE). The Wildcats have outscored the opposition 20-3 so far this season.
UNH is one of just four teams around the nation that have perfect records. The other three are No. 1 Georgetown (7-0-0), No. 3 Washington (7-0-0) and No. 8 Tulsa (7-0-0).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wildcats had the first scoring opportunity of the game when graduate student Johann von Knebel (Hamburg, Germany) fired a one-timer from five yards out that was saved by Rotem Fadida in the fourth minute.
- After the Wildcats were called for handball in the box, Tommer Drimmer sent the penalty kick to the lower left corner of the goal to give Hartford a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute (31:29).
- In the 37th minute, graduate student Sam Henneberg (Charlotte, N.C.) played a ball to von Knebel who put a header just over the goal from eight yards out.
- The Wildcats outshot the Hawks, 7-1, in the first half, while UNH took eight corner kicks.
- UNH tied the game at 1-1 in the 52nd minute (51:38) when graduate student Jacob Gould (Exeter, N.H.) knocked in a loose ball to the lower side of the net from eight yards out. WATCH GOAL
- Then less than a minute later in the 53rd minute (52:32) the Wildcats took a 2-1 advantage when graduate student Bridger Hansen (Cottonwood Heights, Utah) headed the ball to the right side of the net off a free kick from graduate student Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden). WATCH GOAL
- UNH increased the lead to 3-1 in the 56th minute (55:53), when senior Tola Showunmi (Enfield, England) blasted a shot from six yards out to the right side of the goal. Fallberg posted his second assist of the game on the goal. WATCH GOAL
- The Wildcats scored the last goal of the contest for the 4-1 final when junior Bilal Kamal (London, England) found the back of the net on a one-on-goal with a defender in the 64th minute (63:05). WATCH GOAL
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- UNH outshot Hartford 15-4 in total shots, while the Wildcats took five shots on goal and the Hawks had one shot on goal.
- The Wildcats attempted 11 corner kicks.
- Junior goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) improved to 9-0-0 on the season, while Fadida made one save for the Hawks.
