Former UNH standout goalkeeper returns to the program.
DURHAM, N.H. – 2017 graduate Andrew Pesci returns to his alma mater as he has been named the Director of Operations for the University of New Hampshire men's soccer program as announced by head coach Marc Hubbard.
"We are very excited to have Andrew back in our daily environment," said Hubbard. "Andrew grew considerably over his five-year period with us and understands the importance of hard work and development and ultimately the success that can bring to our program here at New Hampshire."
"Andrew understands who we are, where we have come from and the goals that we still would like to achieve," said Hubbard. "As with our director of ops position in the past, youth community outreach will continue to remain a high focus in his daily role."
Pesci, who served as the Director of Goalkeeping for Seacoast United starting in July of 2018, had an outstanding collegiate career. The Windham, N.H. native started his career winning a national championship with coach Hubbard at Southern New Hampshire University in 2013.
Pesci then transferred to UNH and played in 45 career games. He set a school record in 2017 with 13 shutouts which were ranked third in the nation, while his 0.555 goals against average was ninth nationally as the Wildcats advanced to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Also in 2017, he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region third team. Pesci achieved success academically as he was named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.
The two-time defending America East champions are 2-0-0 (1-0-0 AE) this season and return to action when they take on Vermont on Friday, March 12 at Wildcat Stadium.
