Wildcat skiers win women’s and men’s 15K skate races at Quarry Road
Lyons won the women's 15K skate in 35 minutes, 12.9 seconds before Schulz topped all racers in the men's 15K skate in 32:04.7. The carnival concludes Saturday with the women's 5K classic (9:30 a.m.) and men's 10K classic (10 a.m.) on the schedule.

In the women's race, Lyons earned 50 points, Lucinda Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) placed second (35:41.0) for 47 points and Anna Schriefer (Pittsford, N.Y.) placed third (36:10.6) for 44 points.
On the men's side, Schulz' 50-point effort was supported by runner-up James Schneider (Plymouth, Minn. / 47 points / 33:32.8) and third-place finisher Seth Wyatt (Bozeman, Mont. / 44 points / 33.47.1).

•The UNH Nordic team is scheduled to compete in the Saint Lawrence Nordic Carnival on Friday, Feb. 12, at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. The Wildcat alpine team is set for the Burke Mountain Alpine FIS U races Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13.
