New Hampshire has a 3-1 record in America East, which is the Wildcats' best conference record through four games since the 2017-18 season. The last time UNH started 4-1 (or better) was the 1991-92 season (4-1 record). The last time UNH started 5-1 (or better) was the 1982-83 season (6-0).
UNH's last three games have been decided by a total of nine points.
UNH has a 20-17 lifetime record against UMBC. The Retrievers have won six of the last seven meetings, however. The home team won all three games last year, including the America East quarterfinal at UMBC Event Center. UNH has a 7-3 edge the past 10 meetings in Durham.
UNH and UMBC are the top two America East conference teams in defense field goal percentage. The Retrievers are atop the leaderboard by limiting opponents to a .386 shooting percentage. UNH is holding its opponents to shoot 40.3%.
UMBC also ranks first in field goal percentage (on offense) at 45.9%; UNH is last at 40.7%.
