STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Qon Murphy(Charlotte, N.C.) exploded for a career-high 24 points to lead four double-digit scorers for the UNH men's basketball team, which outscored host Stony Brook 52-30 after halftime to register an 81-64 America East victory Saturday afternoon at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
Murphy went 7 of 14 from the field, which included 4-for-7 from 3-point range, and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line as UNH upped its record to 5-5, 4-3 America East.
Jayden Martinez had 16 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.

Frankie Policelli and Mouhamadou Gueye each scored 12 points for Stony Brook (6-5, 4-1 AE), which led by 13 points in the first half before sustaining its first conference loss of the season.
The same two teams meet Sunday at 2 p.m. (ESPN3) at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
