'Cats Score Season-High 698 Points at Bates Carnival

Wildcats receive four Top-5, six Top-10 results in Saturday’s action
NEWRY & RUMFORD, Maine –Four University of New Hampshire skiers notched Top-5 results and six registered Top-10s on Saturday to propel the Wildcats to a season-high 698 points for fourth place at the Bates Carnival.
Middlebury won the fourth EISA Carnival of the season with 850 points to edge Vermont (848). Dartmouth (801), UNH and Williams (548) round out the Top 5.
At Sunday River, Fanny Sanderberg (Oslo, Norway) and Lisa Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) finished 4-5 in the women's giant slalom to lead the Wildcats to second place (108 points) in that race, behind only Dartmouth (122 points).
The UNH men's alpine finished third (96 points) in GS thanks in large part to Patrick Kenney (Hingham, Mass.), who placed fifth, and Crowley Gentile (Greenland, N.Y.), who took 10th.
At Black Mountain, Scott Schulz (Lake Placid, N.Y.) paced all Wildcat Nordic racers with a fifth-place finish in the men's 10K freestyle. Will Bodewes (Durango, Colo.) and Bryce Hartman (Saranac Lake, N.Y.) finished 13thand 14th, respectively, to guide the 'Cats to a two-way tie for second place (96 points) with Bowdoin.
Lucinda Anderson(Golden Valley, Minn.) spearheaded New Hampshire's efforts in the women's 5K freestyle with a seventh-place finish.
