UNH pits three-game road win streak vs. SBU’s undefeated home record.

DURHAM, N.H. – Coming off its second bye week of the America East schedule, the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team returns to action this Saturday, February 8 as they face the Stony Brook Seawolves on Long Island. Tipoff is set for 2 P.M. on ESPN3.
The Wildcats have won three straight America East road games and will face the conference's top team in Stony Brook who are undefeated at home this season.
UP NEXT: New Hampshire returns home the following Wednesday, February 12 at 11 A.M. for its annual Education Day game against Vermont; they follow that game up with a home contest against UMBC on Saturday, February 15. LAST TIME OUT:
- Seniors Caroline Soucy (Beverly, Mass.) and Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) both tallied double-digit scoring but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team fell in a tough battle with UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon in Lundholm Gym. The Wildcats got an early lead but the River Hawks took over midway through the first quarter and led for the rest of the way, taking the game by a score of 66-53.
- Soucy led the team with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting (54.5%) and had a team-high six steals in the back and forth fast-paced contest. Soucy also grabbed five rebounds and dished two assists.
- Storey tallied 14 in the contest, and had the team-high in rebounds (6) and assists (4).
ABOUT STONY BROOK:
- The Seawolves (Stony Brook, N.Y.) come into Saturday's contest riding the nation's second-longest winning streak of 18 games, after defeating UMass Lowell on Wednesday, 89-69 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
- Stony Brook boasts an unblemished America East record of 10-0 this season; with an overall record of 22-1, the Seawolves had yet to lose a game at Island Federal Arena, their only loss coming on the road to #23 Arkansas.
- The Seawolves traveled to Lundholm Gym for the first meeting of the season between the two teams; the Wildcats would force overtime with SBU, but the Seawolves would take the game by a final score of 53-42.
- Stony Brook has won the last three meetings between the two programs, UNH's last win coming in the 2018 America East quarterfinals.
