Wildcats Drop 3-1 Game at Boston University

BOSTON – Sam Tucker made 30 saves for the Terriers as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Boston University, 3-1, on Saturday at Agganis Arena. The Wildcats fall to 15-13-2 (9-10-1 HEA) on the season, while the Terriers improve to 12-9-8 (9-5-5 HEA).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNH took an early 1-0 lead at 1:24 of the first period, when senior Liam Blackburn (Prince George, British Columbia) sent a wrist shot from the slot to the stick side of the net on a rebound off a shot by junior assistant captain Patrick Grasso (Ankeny, Iowa). Sophomore Jackson Pierson (Zionsville, Ind.) also posted an assist on the goal.
- The Terriers tied the game at 1-1 at 9:07 of the first period when Wilmer Skoog netted a power play goal.
- At 15:04 of the second period Patrick Curry netted a goal to give the Terriers a 2-1 advantage.
- With the Wildcats trailing 2-1, UNH went with the empty net but Logan Cockerill scored with just 19.2 seconds left for the 3-1 lead.
- The Wildcats were unable to score for the 3-1 final.
- UNH junior goalie Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) made 16 saves, while Sam Tucker posted 30.
- UNH outshot Boston University by a 31-19 margin.
- The Wildcats went 0-2 on the power play and the Terriers went 1-2.
