AEC Announces Tentative Return to Basketball Competition

Wildcat men’s and women’s basketball each slated to play 18 conference games
BOSTON – The America East Conference announced Monday a tentative plan for a return to competition for men's and women's basketball in 2020-21. The potential 18-game conference season would consist of nine weekends featuring back-to-back matchups against the same opponent in the same location.

Under this proposed plan, the Wildcat women's basketball team is scheduled to begin play Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6 against conference newcomer NJIT at Lundholm Gym. Times are TBA, and no decision regarding fan attendance has been announced at this time.
The UNH men's basketball program would open its season at NJIT on Saturday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 13.
Due to COVID-19, the schedule is subject to change, and all games will be played in accordance with the latest guidelines from the CDC, the State of New Hampshire, the University and the America East Conference.
