DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire senior forward Ally Reynolds (Weymouth, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) 2019 All-New England first team, the association announced Wednesday evening.
Reynolds, who transferred to UNH from Rhode Island ahead of the 2018 season, capped off her career with a team-leading nine goals and 22 points in 2019, helping propel the Wildcats to their third America East Semifinal appearance in the last four seasons.
Of her nine goals on the season, five of them counted as game-winning goals. Reynolds tallied goals in four of UNH's final six games of the season, including two goals against Maine (2-0 victory) and a goal and an assist in the America East Quarterfinals against Binghamton (3-2 victory). In her two years with the Wildcats, Reynolds tallied 13 goals, and five assists for 31 points.
Reynolds was just one of two America East athletes on the first-team, joined by Hartford's Sierra Stone. Other teams represented on the All-New England First Team were Brown, Central Connecticut, Dartmouth, Fairfield, Northeastern, and Yale.
The second and third teams included Boston College, UConn, Harvard, Holy Cross, UMass, Providence and Rhode Island.
This comes after Reynolds was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team, and more recently to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Second Team, recognizing her performance off the field with a 3.57 GPA as a health and physical education, secondary education major. Reynolds was joined by teammate Megan Rumbold (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) who made the Scholar All-East Third Team (human development & family studies: education studies, elementary education, 3.33 GPA)
