Friday's game will be the last at Memorial Field for the three Wildcat senior captains: Nicky Bajus, Bailey Fanikos and Kayla Sliz.
The senior class will be honored pregame prior to the introduction of the starting lineups.

DEVELOPING THE PLAYOFF PICTURE

The winner of Friday's UNH vs. Maine game will be the #2 seed of the 2019 America East Championships and receive a first-round bye.
UNH enters the weekend third place in the East Division with a 2-2 conference record.
Maine is second at 3-1.
Monmouth has already clinched the #1 seed with a 4-0 conference record.
UAlbany, UMass Lowell and Vermont are tied for fourth at 1-3.
The top four teams from the East Division and top two from the West Division advance to the America East tournament at Monmouth (Nov. 7-10).

'CAT NIPS

Bailey Fanikos scored her fifth goal of the season when she gave UNH a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute at Vermont. Fanikos has started all 10 games since missing the first six of the season.
Tia Raspante extended the Wildcats' lead to 2-0 in the 26^th minute with her second goal of the season.
Ava Mariani recorded her first career assist when she set up Fankios' goal.
Emily Eckels tallied an assist – the second of her career – on Raspante's goal.
Kayla Sliz recorded a team-high five shots (three on goal) at UVM.

STAT LEADERS

Finn Caron leads the team in goals (nine), assists (three), points (21) and shots on goal (23).
Bloem van den Brekel and Maura Verleg are tied with Caron at three assists.
Kayla Sliz ranks second in goals (five) and points (12), as well as shots (40).
Bailey Fanikos is tied for second in goals (five).
Ava Mariani has scored four goals, and three of them have been game-winners.
Nicky Bajus leads the Wildcats with two defensive saves. van den Brekel and Erin Malone both have one.
Freshman goalkeeper Jemma Woods has an 8-6 record with a 2.27 GAA and .676 save percentage in 15 games (14 starts).
No one has played more minutes than freshman back Maura Verleg. She's played 980 of a possible 1009 minutes.

CONFERENCE CALL

Finn Caron is ranked No. 6 in America East in goals per game (0.563) and No. 9 in points per game (1.31). She is also 10^th in shots on goal per game (1.44).
Bloem van den Brekel is No. 6 in shots per game (3.31).

BALDUCCI BIO

This is the 29^th season as UNH head coach for Robin Balducci.
She is the program's all-time winningest coach with 288 career victories
Balducci was inducted into the NFHCA Hall of Fame on Jan. 5, 2017.
She was inducted into UNH's Hall of Fame in 1998 and was also part of the 1985 NCAA national championship women's lacrosse team that was enshrined in 1994.
Balducci is a six-time America East Coach of the Year (1998, 2000-10-11-12-13).

SCOUTING MAINE • Home page

The University of Maine (Orono, Maine) enters Friday's game with a 7-8 overall record that includes 3-1 in America East (0-1 in conference road games).
The Black Bears defeated UAlbany last Friday to extend their winning streak to four games.
Maine has won six of its last seven games; the only loss in that span was 4-2 at Monmouth University on Oct. 11.
