STOWE, Vt. – The University of New Hampshire ski team competes at the University of Vermont Carnival this weekend (Feb. 1-2) with Nordic races scheduled for Trapp Family Lodge and alpine races set for Mount Mansfield Ski Club at Stowe Mountain Resort.
Wildcat women's alpine co-captain Emma Woodhouse (Collingwood, Ontario) is off to a scorching start to the downhill season. The junior, who was named EISA Athlete of the Week on Jan. 18, is tied atop the East's rankings in giant slalom (140 points) and slalom (140 points) with Dartmouth's Alexa Dlouhy through two weekends and four races.
At the St. Lawrence Carnival, Woodhouse was runner-up in SL (Jan. 11) and GS (Jan. 12). She followed that outstanding weekend with two more podium results at the UNH Carnival, fourth place in GS (Jan. 18) and third in SL (Jan. 19) at Cannon Mountain.
