#23 UNH TO PLAY AT BINGHAMTON ON ESPN3:

The No. 23 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team (6-1-1, 1-0-0 AE), which is 6-0-1 over its last seven games, returns to action Saturday, Sept. 29, when it takes on Binghamton (2-5-2, 1-0-0 AE) at 2:00 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The game will be on ESPN3. This will be the 20th all-time meeting between the two teams as the Bearcats lead the series 9-8-2, but the Wildcats are 3-2-0 over the last five games versus the Bearcats and have won two straight over Binghamton.
THE MATCH UP:
UNH is 6-1-1 overall this season, while Binghamton is 2-5-2. UNH nets 1.38 goals per game and allows 0.63, while the Bearcats score 1.00 goals per contest and allow 1.56. The Wildcats have outshot their opponents by a 124-59 margin, while Binghamton has been outshot, 127-102.
NATIONALLY RANKED:

UNH is ranked No. 23 in the recent United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Wildcats return to the rankings after being No. 19 in the preseason poll. The Wildcats are also ranked No. 16 in the first RPI released by the NCAA. UNH has outscored its opposition by a 11-5 margin this season. The Wildcats' 0.606 team goals against average is ranked 14th nationally.
DOHERTY NAMED OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK:

Junior Jack Doherty (Meriden, N.H.) was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week for his performance last weekend in a 1-0 victory against UMBC. This is his first-career America East Weekly Award. Doherty scored the game winner. The goal was Doherty's first of the season and second game-winner of his career. For his career, Doherty has four goals and nine assists for 17 points.

The Wildcats will play host to Harvard, on Tuesday, Oct. 2, on ESPN3 at 7:00 p.m. The Wildcats are 5-0-0 this season at home and are 15-0-3 at Wildcat Stadium over the last 18 games.
