Ulrich sets new 8K personal best at the America East meet.

NASHUA, N.H. – University of New Hampshire senior William Ulrich (Mineola, N.Y.) capped off his cross country season with a new personal best time at the 2018 America East Cross Country Championships.

Ulrich finished the race in 26^th place with a time of 25 minutes, 42.8 seconds, pacing the Wildcats to a sixth-place finish at the 2018 confernece championship meet.

His finish time was an improvement on his previous personal best time of 26.07.2, which he set at the 2017 Coast to Coast 8K.

New Hampshire finished with a team score of 157, behind Albany in fifth with 121. The overall race was won by UMass Lowell's Paul Hogan, who paced his team to a first place finish with a team score of 43.

Other top finishers for the Wildcats were:

Junior Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) was the second Wildcat to cross the finish line, taking 34^th place in 25:55.5.
Finishing in 37^th and 38^th was the pairing of sophomore Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) and senior Davis Clark (Manchester, N.H.), finishing within a full second of each other. Sullivan's finishing time was 26:02.9, good a new personal best in the 8K, and Clark's time of 26:03.7 was also good for a new PB.
Sophomore James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) placed 42^nd with a time of 26:07.8.
Senior captain Dean Yost (Canton, Conn.) took 44^th in 26:10.6.
Junior Alexander Saveliev (Concord, N.H.) rounded out the pack in 49^th with a time of 26:17.4, which was a new personal best for him in the 8K.

The Wildcats will be sending squads up to the NCAA Northeast Regional meet, which takes place on Friday, November 9, at 12:00 PM hosted by the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y.
