UNH TO PLAY AT STONY BROOK:

The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team (8-2-1, 2-1-0 AE) returns to action Saturday, Oct. 13, when it travels to take on America East opponent Stony Brook (6-4-2, 3-0-0 AE) at 7:00 p.m. at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The Wildcats are 8-6-5 all-time versus Stony Brook. Last year, UNH won 2-0 on Oct. 21 at Wildcat Stadium, and then 1-0 on Nov. 4 in an America East quarterfinal match.
THE MATCH UP:
UNH is 8-2-1 overall this season and 2-1-0 in America East, while Stony Brook is 6-4-2 and 3-0-0 in America East. UNH nets 1.27 goals per game and allows 0.64, while the Seawolves score 1.42 goals per contest and allow 1.17.
STRONG DEFENSE:
UNH is ranked 10th in the nation with a 0.616 team goals against average. The Wildcats are also ranked first in America East.
HUXSOHL NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Graduate student Lars Huxsohl (Hamburg, Germany) was named the America East Defensive Player of the WeeK. Huxsohl posted two shutouts as the Wildcats recorded two 1-0 victories versus Harvard and America East opponent Albany. Huxsohl is 8-2-1 on the season with six shutouts. His six shutouts are ranked seventh in the nation and his 0.622 goals against average is 12th.
BAUER EARNS NATIONAL ACCOLADES:

Sophomore Josh Bauer (Bedford, N.H.) was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week. He netted the game winner versus Harvard.
WILDCATS DEFEAT ALBANY:

On Friday, Oct. 5, the Wildcats defeated Albany in double overtime to improve to 8-2-1 on the season and 17-0-3 all-time at Wildcat Stadium. Take a look back at the victory:
