'Cats Suffer First Loss of the Season at Marist, 1-0

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Wildcats women's soccer team was held scoreless for the first time this season as they fell to the Marist Red Foxes 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Tenney Stadium.

A defensive first half by both teams saw only three shots on goal, one from UNH two from Marist. Marist also held the corner kick advantage, 2-1.
-2nd Half-
Bowen's goal came in the 53rd minute on a cross from Flaherty, which was the lone scoring action of the half. Marist outshot UNH 8-5 in the second half, as the Wildcats were held to one shot on goal. UNH had a final chance with 20 seconds remaining, as Murphy got a cross in the middle from the right side, but her shot attempt was blocked by a Marist defender, and the Wildcats were unable to regain possession.
