DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the University of New Hampshire men's basketball (16-11, 7-6 AE) 64-51 win over University of Maine (6-23, 2-12 AE) Wednesday night at Lundholm Gym.

Junior Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) scored 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for his eighth double-double this season.
The Wildcats outrebounded the Black Bears 48-33, including 20 offensive rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a half full of ties, the 'Cats kicked it into gear with five minutes left in the first. The first half ended with UNH on top, 35-19. They held the largest lead of 16 points with five seconds left in the half. Smith sank 12 points for the Wildcats while Camara and Leissner recorded six each. Smith also recorded four assists while Camara grabbed nine rebounds. The 'Cats shot 44.8 percent ifrom the field in the first half.

Smith started off the second half strong with a three right away. New Hampshire remained in the lead for the rest of the game. The 'Cats shot 33.8 percent from the field but only a 14.8 percent beyond the arc, compared to Maine's 34.9 percent from the field and 30.8 percent beyond the arc. New Hampshire sank 75 percent of their attempted free throws.
