Wildcat Facts
Four Wildcats – Jacoby Armstrong (Dallas), Tanner Leissner (Converse), Kijana Love (Cibolo) and Jordan Reed (Lucas) – are traveling to their home state of Texas for the Nov. 14 game at the University of Texas, which is UNH's opening game of the Phil Knight Invitational/PK80.
This is the 13th year as UNH head coach for Bill Herrion. He has 158 wins at UNH and 395 career victories.
UNH is coming off consecutive 20-win seasons and has 59 wins the past three years to mark the highest win total in any three-year span in program history.
The Wildcats return 10 letterwinners, including three starters, from last year's squad that advanced to the America East semifinals.
The 'Cats also welcome back two players who redshirted the 2016-17 season and add three newcomers (one transfer, two freshman).
Leissner was named to the 2017-18 America East Preseason All-Conference Team. He was an All-Conference First Team selection each of the past two years and the 2015 Rookie of the Year.
UNH has to replace graduated guards Jaleen Smith and Daniel Dion. The duo combined to score 29.4 PPG and ranked 1-2 in 3-pointers, assists, steals and minutes.
