THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

The No. 20 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will conclude the regular season when it hosts first-place Vermont on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN3. Brendan Glasheen and Mike Abelson will have the call.
The Wildcats, who have already clinched a spot in the six-team America East Tournament, are still in contention for a bye and are looking to win a share of the regular season championship. The Wildcats have won two regular season championships (1994, 2009).
Vermont (15 points) is currently in first place, while UNH and UMass Lowell are tied for second with 12 points. Albany is fourth with 10 points. The top two teams get a bye to the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The quarterfinals are on Saturday, Nov. 4. Go here to view the standings.
UNH Is ranked No. 18 In the NCAA Men's Soccer RPI and No. 20 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Poll.
UNH is third in the nation with a 0.472 team goals against average as the Wildcats have only allowed eight goals all season.
UNH has outscored its opponents 25-8 this season.
UNH's winning percentage is .781 which is 11th in the country.
The Wildcats are 3-2-0 in the last five games versus Vermont. Last year, UNH lost to Vermont, 2-0, on Nov. 2.
The Wildcats are undefeated at Wildcat Stadium at 8-0-2 (3-0-0 AE).

PESCI THIRD IN THE NATION

Graduate student Andrew Pesci is ranked third nationally with a 0.472 goals against average, while his nine shutouts are sixth. The team has allowed only eight goals all year.
He is 11-2-3 this year and has a 25-9-3 career record with 16 shutouts.

SCHMIDT LEADS WILDCATS IN POINTS

Graduate student Robin Schmidt (Cologne, Germany) leads the team in points with six goals, one assist and 13 points.
He is ranked second in America East with 1.30 points per game and first with 0.60 goals per game.

UNDEFEATED AT WILDCAT STADIUM:

The Wildcats have an 8-0-2 overall record at home.
UNH is 3-0-0 in America East games at Wildcat Stadium.
