THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The No. 18 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will play host to Stony Brook at Wildcat Stadium in Durham, N.H., on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m., on Senior Night.
- The Wildcats enter the contest with a 10-1-3 overall record (3-1-0 America East), while the Seawolves are 6-4-4 (0-2-2 America East).
- UNH is third in the nation with a 0.474 team goals against average as the Wildcats have only allowed seven goals all season.
- The Wildcats are 6-6-5 all-time versus Stony Brook. Last year, the Seawolves won 2-0 on Oct. 8.
- The Wildcats are 7-0-2 at home this season.
- After the Stony Brook game, the Wildcats will hit the road to take on UMass Lowell on Saturday, Oct. 28.
WILDCATS TO HONOR SENIORS
- Before Saturday's game, the Wildcats will honor their six seniors: Willis Griffith, Dante Lamb, Andrew Pesci, Will Rasid, Robin Schmidt and Nathan Spores for their hard work and dedication to the program.
PESCI THIRD IN THE NATION
- Andrew Pesci is ranked third nationally with a 0.474 goals against average, while his eight shutouts are fourth. The team has allowed only seven goals all year.
- He is 10-1-3 this year and has a 24-8-3 career record with 15 shutouts.
2-0-0 VERSUS NATIONALLY RANKED TEAMS
- UNH is 2-0-0 versus nationally ranked teams this season.
- The Wildcats defeated No. 22 ranked Boston College on the road 2-0 Sept. 1, 2017.
- The Wildcats just recently defeated No. 20 Dartmouth, 4-2, at Wildcat Stadium on Oct. 17.
- Robin Schmidt scored two goals for the Wildcats against Dartmouth on Tuesday. Sophomores Siggi Geirsson and Jack Doherty also each scored a goal.
- Schmidt has four goals and one assist for nine points this season.
UNDEFEATED AT WILDCAT STADIUM:
- The Wildcats have a 7-0-2 overall record at home.
- UNH is 2-0-0 in America East games at Wildcat Stadium.
