THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The No. 18 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will play host to No. 20 Dartmouth at Wildcat Stadium in Durham, N.H., on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN3.
- The Wildcats enter the contest with a 9-1-3 overall record (3-1-0 America East), while the Big Green are 8-2-1 (2-0-1 Ivy League).
- UNH is second in the nation with a 0.363 team goals against average as the Wildcats have only allowed five goals all season. The Big Green are 13th in the nation in scoring offense with 2.18 goals per game.
- Last year, the Big Green defeated the Wildcats, 1-0 on Oct. 5. UNH is 3-2-0 versus the Big Green over the last five games.
- The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, when they host Stony Brook at 7:30 p.m. on Senior Night.
PESCI SECOND IN THE NATION
- Graduate student Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) is ranked second nationally with a 0.363 goals against average, while his four shutouts are fourth. The team has allowed only five goals all year.
- He is 9-1-3 this year and has a 23-8-3 career record with 15 shutouts.
SCHMIDT SCORES OVERTIME GAME-WINNER
- Graduate student Robin Schmidt (Cologne, Germany) scored the game-winning overtime goal for the Wildcats against Binghamton on Saturday, Oct. 14, in the 2-1 victory. He also posted an assist on the first goal.
- Schmidt has two goals and one assist for five points this season.
