Ski Alum Annika Taylor Named to England's Elite Team

Former All-American, two-time MVP tabbed to England’s Elite Team
LONDON – Former University of New Hampshire Nordic skier Annika Taylor '15 (Truckee, Calif.) has been named to the British Nordic Development Squad National Team by British Ski and Snowboard, the national governing body for skiing and snowboarding in the United Kingdom. Taylor is one of three members of England's Elite Squad, the club's top tier.
Taylor, who graduated from UNH in May 2015 with a degree in Chemistry, was a 2015 NCAA All-American (Second Team), a three-time NCAA Championship competitor (2013-15) and two-time All-EISA First Team skier ('13, '15). The two-time team MVP was honored as a member of the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team three straight years (2013-15) and was inducted into the National College Athletic Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma, in '14 and '15. As a senior co-captain in '15, Taylor earned the East's No. 1 ranking by compiling five victories, four second-place finishes and one third-place result.
On the international stage, the Truckee, Calif., native raced for Great Britain in the U23 World Championships (2014) and also qualified for the Worlds the following season. She has dual British citizenship as her father is originally from the United Kingdom.
Since graduation, Taylor has raced for Team Coop Talent, a professional ski team based in Lillehammer, Norway. Her next goal is to train for the 2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland.
