Leissner's Game-High 17 Points Drops Daniel Webster, 89-26

UNH is off to its best 12-game start since the 1971-72 season.
DURHAM, N.H. – Junior forward Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team scored a game high 17 points to lead the Wildcats to a 63-point win over the Daniel Webster Eagles, 89-26, in Lundholm Gym.
LOOKING AHEAD
New Hampshire will travel to Dartmouth College after the Holiday break on Dec. 31 before opening the New Year at home on Jan. 2 (1 PM) against Wheelock College on ESPN3. Tickets are available at UNHWildcats.com.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats opened the contest with the most recent thousand-point scorer Leissner sinking two free throws followed by three consecutive Dion triples to jump out to an early 11-0 lead. The 'Cats continued to light it up from deep as they hit another five threes to extend their lead to 28-2 before the 12:00 media timeout. New Hampshire began working the ball inside and getting to the free throw line to lead 46-14 with 3:38 left in the half. UNH entered halftime with a 54-16 lead.
UNH came out of the break pounding it inside as Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) scored on the opening two possessions. Keon Burns (Beaverton, Oregon) splashed a three with 10:30 remaining to extend the lead to 52. Love showed his offensive prowess in the second half as he poured in a career high 11 points. With 4:52 remaining, Freshman Ken Uhlar (Walpole, Massachusetts) scored his first collegiate points as he sliced through the defense to finish through contact and the foul. A pair of John Ogwuche (Makurdi, Nigeria) free throws in the final minute gave New Hampshire their largest lead of the season (63).
