Regular Season Concludes in 2-1 Loss at UMass Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. – Junior Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) scored her 11th goal of the season as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team fell 2-1 on the final day of the regular season to UMass Lowell. UNH to play the University of Maine on Thursday (Oct. 27; 7 PM) in the quarterfinals of the America East Championships.

The No. 4 Wildcats are set to take on the No. 5 Maine on Thursday, right in Durham at Bremner Field. Ticket information will be announced soon.

UNH got on the board in the first half when Murphy turned at half field and buried a long-distance attempt top left. Feraco was credited with the assist on the play. New Hampshire outshot UML narrowly, 5-4, in the first frame.
-2nd Half-
The Wildcats sat the majority of their starters in the second half with the playoff positions already solidified. Just three minutes in, UMass Lowell answered when Vieira received a pass from Guzman just past the center circle and dribbled through the Wildcats defense and scored bottom left. The River Hawks outshot the 'Cats 12-2 in the final half and scored the eventual game-winner with three minutes to play as Vieira earned her second of the game on a breakaway bottom left.
