Men’s Soccer Hosts Binghamton on Breast Cancer Awareness Night (Wed., 7 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will host Binghamton University on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. on Cowell Stadium. The night is also Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Medtronic Advanced Energy in Portsmouth, N.H., in which the team will be sporting pink gear and are encouraging fans to wear as much pink as they can to show support.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Wildcats (8-1-2, 2-0-0) are coming off a 3-2 win over Stony Brook University on Saturday night to earn their second America East Conference win. Seniors A.J. Albers (Eagan, Minn.) and Fazal Nabi (Portland, Maine) as well as junior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) each scored. All three goals came in the first half of play. Senior goalkeeper Ryan Carpenter (Newmarket, N.H.) made four saves on six shots faced to earn his seventh win of the season.
Wingate leads the Wildcats on offense as he has five goals and two assists for 11 points. Three of his goals have been game winners. Albers has four goals for eight points while Nabi also has eight points. His come from three goals and two assists. Rookie Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) has seven points on a goal and seven assists while senior Ben Ramin (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) has the same total from three goals and one assist. Senior Connor Pauley (Londonderry, N.H.) has recorded six points on two goals and two assists. Junior Karl Frisk (Molndal, Sweden) has three points on one goal and one assist. Junior Riley Ellis (Goffstown, N.H.) and freshman Alex Valencia (Tracy, Calif.) each have two points on one goal while senior Lukas Goerigk (Berlin, Germany) has two points on a pair of assists. Junior Duff Thomson (Newton, N.H.) has one point on an assist.
Senior goalkeeper Ryan Carpenter (Newmarket, N.H.) holds a record of 7-1-2, making starts in all 10 games played. He has a goals against average of 0.96 and a save percentage of .688. Sophomore Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) has made one start and has a record of 1-0-0 with a shutout.

The game was scoreless until the 79th minute when Lowell broke the tie and eventually took the game by a score of 1-1. Binghamton keeper Robert Moewes made two saves on three shots faced.
Pascal Trappe leads the Bearcats on offense with seven points from three goals and one assist. Zach Galluzzo and Logan Roberts both have five points. Galluzzo's from two goals and one assist while Roberts has one goal and three assists. Moewes has played all 12 games and has a 1.16 goals against average to go along with a .770 save percentage. He also has four shutouts.
