Earlier this month, Reed was named one of 10 finalists for the 2025 Fred Mitchell Award, which recognizes kickers for outstanding performance on the field – distance, accuracy and clutch kicks – and meaningful community service.
Reed ranks No. 1 in the nation in field goals per game (1.92) as well as 14th in both total points scored (105) and in scoring (8.1 points/game). He was named to the 2025 CAA Football First Team and was a three-time CAA Special Teams Player of the Week during the regular season. He also earned an FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week award.
Reed made 25 of 32 field goal attempts and 30 of 31 PAT kicks. The 25 field goals are a UNH single-season record and he also broke the program record for longest field goal with a 55-yarder Nov. 22 against the University of Maine.
He finished 20-for-24 on field goal attempts of 30+ yards with a breakdown of 11 of 12 from 30-39, 3 of 4 from 40-49 and 6 of 8 from 50+.
In addition to the school-record 55-yard field goal, Reed connected from 50 yards, 52 yards twice and 53 yards.
Reed kicked the game-winning 40-yard field goal vs. Holy Cross on the final play of the game to lift UNH to a 19-16 victory in UNH's home opener on Sept. 6. He made all four field goal attempts – he also split the uprights from 33, 30 and 50 yards – to score 13 of the team's 19 points.
In UNH's 24-10 win at Campbell University on Oct. 18, Reed gave UNH a 6-3 lead when he connected on a 50-yard attempt on the last play of the first half. His third field goal of the game – this time from 37 yards – gave the 'Cats a 9-3 lead. Reed capped the scoring with a PAT kick at 1:48 of the fourth quarter.
Reed matched his career high of 13 points in a game with a perfect kicking day – he made all four field goal attempts and only PAT attempt – to help New Hampshire defeat the University of Maine, 33-27, to retain the Brice-Cowell Musket. His field goals of 29 and 21 yards helped stake the 'Cats to a 13-0 lead. He broke the school record with a 55-yard FG at 1:47 of the second quarter and added a 33-yarder on the last play of the half to send UNH into the locker room with a 27-7 lead.
In addition to placekicking, Reed also kicked off and had 30 touchbacks on 69 kickoffs with an opponent average starting position at the 25-yard line.
