DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore forward Robert Cronin (Hingham, Mass.) scored for the Wildcats, but the No. 16 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to UConn, 4-1, on Friday night at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex in Hockey East action.
Hudson Schandor led the Huskies with one goal and two assists for three points.
The Wildcats fall to 10-5-3 (2-4-2 Hockey East), while the Huskies improve to 10-8-1 (5-6-1 Hockey East).

How It Happened- The Huskies struck first at 18:19 of the first period on a short-handed goal by Schandor as he redirected a shot by Joey Muldowney to the back of the net.
- At 1:16 of the second period, Ryan Tattle added a power-play goal to extend the Huskies' lead to 2-0.
- At 10:14 of the third period, Jake Richard gave the Huskies a 3-0 lead on the team's second power-play goal of the night when he fired a one-timer to the back of the net off a pass by Muldowney.
- With the Wildcats trailing 3-0 and on the power play, UNH went with an empty net as Cronin tipped in a shot from senior forward Liam Devlin (Needham, Mass.) into the glove side of the net. Sophomore forward Nick Ring (Hingham, Mass.) was also credited with an assist.
