Wildcats Win 3-2 Thriller at Princeton

Matthew Goncalves scores late game-winning goal
PRINCETON, N.J. – Graduate student forward Matthew Goncalves (Everett, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to break a 2-2 tie as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated Princeton, 3-2, on Friday night at Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.
With the win, the Wildcats improve to 2-1-1, while the Tigers fall to 0-2-0.

· In the 28th minute, graduate student midfielder Federico Tellez (Miami, Fla.) sent a free kick from 25 yards out that went just wide of the right post.
· The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute (34:30) when Harry Roberts had a penalty kick saved by senior Erik Lauta (Aptos, Calif.), but Roberts knocked in the rebound for the goal.
· Senior forward Ibrahim Conde (Montreal, Quebec) tied the contest at 1-1 when he fired a penalty kick to the right side of the net in the 41st minute (40:42). Ibrahim Conde ties the game with his third goal of the season!

· Princeton went up 2-1 in the 51st minute (50:55) with a penalty kick goal to the upper right side of the net by Daniel Ittycheria.
· UNH tied the match, 2-2, in the 62nd minute (61:07), when junior forward Michael Tsicoulias (Newton, Mass.) sent a shot to the lower right corner of the net from 10 yards out off a pass from graduate student forward Goncalves. Michael Tsicoulias scores his first goal as a Wildcat! UNH and Princeton tied, 2-2.
