IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to Iowa, 112-70 on Monday night from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Senior forward Giancarlo Bastianoni (Dominican Republic) scored 17 points for the Wildcats. Junior guard Anthony McComb III (Dayton, Ohio) added 15 points, and freshman center Caleb Middleton (Dover, N.H.) recorded a career-high 12 assists for the 'Cats.
The Wildcats fall to 2-13 (0-0 AE).

- Bastianoni bodied down to convert the first Wildcat points of the night (7-2).
- Middleton recorded two layups to combat the Hawkeye's success (15-6).
- Iowa went up by 12 but Hamelin took advantage of a turnover to knock down a three-pointer and keep it a single-digit game.
- The remainder of the half was all Hawkeye's as the two teams walked into the locker rooms with a 62-33 halftime score. Bastianoni had the last points of the first half after making a three from the wing.

- Bastianoni continued his first-half success after floating in the 'Cats first points of the second half. He followed that up with a three-pointer.
- McComb III had points on back-to-back possessions as he converted a three-pointer and made a layup off his own steal (70-43).
- The Wildcats shot three for six beyond the arch in the second half but Iowa took command and won the game 112-70.

- Middleton shot an efficient 4-5 from the field for eight points. He also recorded his career-high of 12 total rebounds.
