McComb III Tallies 20 Points in Loss To Fordham Sunday Afternoon

BRONX, N.Y. – Junior guard Anthony McComb III (Dayton, Ohio) was one rebound shy of a double-double as the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to Fordham, 83-61 on Sunday afternoon from Rose Hill Gymnasium.
McComb III scored 20 points for the Wildcats and collected nine rebounds. Junior guard Sami Pissis (Paris, France) added 10 points for the 'Cats.
The Wildcats fall to 2-9 (0-0 AE).

- The Wildcats went down 5-0 early before McComb laid in the first Wildcat points of the afternoon.
- The Rams extended their lead to 15-5 over the next three minutes of game time. Pissis knocked down a three-pointer in the process.
- Fordham continued their success by going up as much as 21 points. The 'Cats trimmed the deficit to 17 going into the locker room thanks to six straight McComb III points (41-23).

- Freshman guard Khalil Badru (New Britain, Conn.) free throw and a graduate student forward/center Emmanuel Okpomo (Delta State, Nigeria) tip-in began the second half for UNH. Mixed in with a McComb III free-throw and sophomore forward Davide Poser (Veneto, Italy) three-pointer. The 'Cats still trailed by 16 after the first five minutes of play.
- The Wildcats could not regain the lead in the second half as they lost 83-61. They trailed as much as 29.
- Despite the loss the 'Cats shot 53.3% from the field and 42.9% from three with three-pointers from Poser, Pissis, and freshman guard Antoni Siewruk (Koszalin, Poland).

- McComb III was one rebound shy of a double-double.

- The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 back at home as they host Dartmouth at 7 p.m.
