Two-time N.H. Sportscaster of Year to Lead Wildcat Sports Network Team
DURHAM, N.H. – Justin McIsaac, a member of the Wildcat Sports Network since 2017, has been named the new radio Voice of UNH Football. McIsaac, a two-time NSMA New Hampshire Sportscaster of the Year (2018-19), follows in the footsteps of Bob Lipman (2012-22), Jim Jeannotte (1981-2011) and Jock MacKenzie (1946-80) as the Wildcats' lead radio announcer.
"It is an honor to be the new voice of UNH football," said McIsaac. "As a New Hampshire kid, I grew up listening to the Wildcats on the radio, so this is quite literally a childhood dream job."
McIssac, who served as UNH football color commentator from 2017-22, will be joined in the broadcast booth by former Wildcat captains Brian Espanet (WR, 2017-22) and Evan Gray (2015-19) for the majority of broadcasts this fall.
"We are proud to name Justin McIsaac the Voice of UNH Football," said Demi Kneeland, General Manager, Wildcat Sports Properties. "Justin brings professionalism, passion and a high level of energy to the broadcast booth, and we are excited to welcome in former Wildcat standouts Brian Espanet and Evan Gray to our dynamic radio team this season."
McIsaac is the assistant program director for WGIR (610-AM, Manchester) and WQSO (96.7 FM, Portsmouth) and serves as the producer of New Hampshire Today (6 a.m. – 9 a.m., Monday-Friday) on News Radio 610 AM and 96.7 FM. Prior to joining the Wildcat Sports Network, he was the voice of high school sports on the Seacoast for many years. Before entering the world of broadcasting, McIsaac worked as a professional wrestler, performing in rings up and down the east coast.
Fans can tune in to every UNH football game on the Wildcat Sports Network, which consists of New Hampshire iHeartRadio flagship stations WGIR 610-AM, WQSO 96.7 FM and Fox Sports 930 AM. Audio can be streamed on the IHeart Media app, the Varsity Network app and on UNHWildcats.com/Radio.
Each broadcast starts 30 minutes before opening kickoff, leading off with a 12:30 p.m. pregame show for the 1 p.m. UNH/Stonehill season opener Saturday, Sept. 2, from W.B. Mason Stadium in North Easton, Mass.
