RICHMOND, Va. – Graduate student Bilal Kamal (London, England) scored the first goal of the season for the Wildcats as the No. 23 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team tied Virginia Commonwealth, 1-1, in the season opener for both teams on Thursday night at Sports Backers Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Kamal scored the first goal of the season for the Wildcats when he blasted a shot from 25 yards out to the back of the net to give UNH a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute (29:06).

The Rams tied the game at 1-1 in the 72nd minute (71:44) when Damian Gallegos stole the ball and scored on a breakaway.
