UNH will take on Bryant at Wildcat Stadium on Sunday at 2 p.m. for the championship.

DURHAM, N.H. – Graduate student Georgios Koliniatis (Athens, Greece) scored the only goal of the game as the No. 10 nationally-ranked and No. 1 seed University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated No. 5 seed NJIT, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at Wildcat Stadium in the semifinals of the America East Tournament.

The Wildcats improve to 12-1-4, while the Highlanders conclude their season 7-8-4.

With the win, the Wildcats advance to the America East championship game and will play No. 2 seed Bryant on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium on ESPN+.

Bryant defeated No. 6 seed Binghamton, 3-1, in the semifinals. UNH tied the Bulldogs, 1-1, on Oct. 7 at Wildcat Stadium.

The Wildcats will be looking to win their fifth America East championship as UNH captured the title in the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 seasons. This will be UNH's sixth straight appearance in the championship game.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

The 'Cats took an early lead in the 23rd minute (22:27) when Koliniatis slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of the net from the top of the box. Sophomore Taig Healy (South Hampton, N.H.) and grad student Atila Ashrafi (Cologne, Germany) were each credited with an assist.

The Wildcats kept NJIT off the scoreboard as UNH outshot the Highlanders, 30-4, while the Wildcats tallied seven shots on goal and NJIT took one.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

UNH took five corner kicks, while NJIT posted two.
Grad student Joseba Incera (Santurtzi, Spain) recorded one save to post his fifth shutout of the season and improve to 10-1-3, while NJIT goalkeeper Samuel Reisgys made six saves.
