#10 UNH Falls to #19 Bryant, 1-0, in Double OT in AE Final; Selection Show Set for Monday

'Cats to make seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance and eighth overall.
DURHAM, N.H. - Bryant's Jonas Lyshoj scored the game-winner in double overtime as the No. 10 nationally-ranked and No. 1 seed University of New Hampshire men's soccer team fell to No. 19 nationally-ranked and No. 2 seed Bryant, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium in the championship game of the America East Tournament.
The Wildcats are now 12-2-4, while the Bulldogs improve to 16-1-2 and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Sophomore back Isaac Heffess (Brookline, Mass.), graduate student back Liam Bennett (Concord, N.H.) and graduate student forward Georgios Koliniatis (Athens, Greece) were each named to the All-Tournament Team.
Graduate student forward Eli Goldman (Minneapolis, Minn.) earned the Elite 18 Award. Goldman had a 3.84 GPA as an undergraduate and is currently pursuing his MBA.

UNH will be making its seventh straight appearance and eighth overall in the NCAA Tournament. The 2023 championship field will be made up of 48 teams with 23 automatic bids for winning their conference championship and 25 teams that will be selected at large by the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee. The tournament will take place from Nov. 16-Dec. 11. The College Cup, consisting of the national semifinals and finals will be held in Louisville, Ky., on Dec. 8 and 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· The Bulldogs scored in the second overtime in the 102nd minute (101:43) when Lyshoj ran down the right side of the field and sent a shot to the near side of the net to make it 1-0. Marc Pitarch Bayot and Javier Soler Gandia were both credited with an assist.
· Bryant goalkeeper Antreas Hadjigavriel, who was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, made nine saves to keep UNH off the scoreboard.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
· The Wildcats outshot the Bulldogs, 17-10, while the Wildcats tallied nine shots on goal and Bryant took three.
· UNH took nine corner kicks, while Bryant posted four.
· Grad student Joseba Incera (Santurtzi, Spain) recorded two saves.
